Jackalo Featured Parent: Ashley Robertson

Meet Ashley Robertson, this month's featured parent. We initially partnered with Ashley for photography, but over time she has become such a fan, she became a Jackalo brand ambassador. We love getting to watch her kids grow in Jackalo - sometimes the clothes fit both kids, sometimes they are handed down to the next. We're so grateful to find likeminded parents like Ashley who share our passion for sustainability and creating a better world for our kids.

Where do you live?
Cincinnati, OH

Tell us about your kids!

• Brynn (5) - loves all things outdoors - bugs, hiking, foraging, playing in the rain and snow, all of it! She’s super empathetic and always wants to make sure everyone is included.
• Penelope (3) - loves cooking and baking, playing with tiny dolls like calico critters and other tiny things like that, is soooo persistent!
• Maddox (5 months) - loves his mama and stuffed jellyfish haha!

What's your approach to parenting these days?

I’m trying my absolute hardest to just be present. It’s so hard working a non-traditional job from home to put it down and turn off my work brain to actually engage and play with the kids, but I’m working on it. Now that I’m a mom of three I’m also more purposeful in finding time to spend with each of them one on one.

What's your dream family trip?

I would LOVE to stay in one of those treehouse resorts but having climbers that probably won’t happen for a while! My dream family trip though is just something peaceful, we don’t have to wait in lines, no one gets overstimulated, we just spend time connecting with each other, and going on our own adventures.

What causes do you care about most these days. Any organizations you want to shout out?

Obviously everything earth saving, protecting, rehabbing related.

How did you discover Jackalo?

Through another mama-owned sustainable fashion company!

What's your favorite product from Jackalo?

The Kai sweatpants👏🏼 The dresses are gorgeous and fit my kids for years, but the sweatpants get worn literally three times a week.

I had my babies at home!

I am a lifestyle and wedding photographer (www.ivoryandolive.co) in Cincinnati and NKY. I absolutely love what I do and getting to find even more of my people because of my niche and work style.
