Jackalo is a dynamic and growing company that sells long-lasting, sustainable clothes for active kids. We are America’s first circular kids clothing brand. We are small but growing, and looking for a marketing assistant that can work on a part-time/contract basis and grow with us over time.
The marketing assistant is responsible for brainstorming social media campaigns, creating social media posts, and analyzing analytics. To be a successful assistant, you must have excellent time management skills and have strong written communication skills. A good marketing assistant is eager to keep abreast of industry innovations and new software.
Social media calendar management: 1-2 hours per month, working with me to plan out social for the month
Weekly social media posting: Post 5 IG posts or reels with appropriate hashtags (list will be shared) Share said post/reel to stories and FB (make adjustments to links for FB) Estimated time: 1.5-2 hrs per week
Social media engagement: comment on influencers and customers posts, 10 minutes per day, 3-4 days per week
Use analytics tools to gauge the success of campaigns (1-2 hrs per month)
Draft or copy edit blog posts (1-2 blog post per month, 2-3 hours per month)
Excellent knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Tiktok.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to understand and replicate written tone.
Comfortable with Canva and/or able to make attractive Reels
Eagerness to learn about new innovations and software.
Excellent time management skills.
Prior experience in marketing or social media.
Time commitment: approx 10-15 hours per week
Compensation: $20-25 per hour, based on previous experience
Location: Remote, overlap with Eastern Time required, but residing outside of that time zone is fine.
