Every pair is one of a kind.
Our Hand-Dyed Indigo Socks are made from soft, undyed organic cotton that we dipped by hand in natural, plant-based indigo right here in Washington, DC. Each pair comes out with its own depth of blue. No two pairs are exactly alike.
We start with dye-free socks knit in Portugal from organic cotton, with a smooth, flat toe seam that won't rub. Pick a ribbed style for kids (with grips on the soles in sizes 2Y–6Y), a lace style with a ruffled cuff, or an adult trouser sock for grown-ups who want in on it too.
Why you'll love them:
Sizing: These run generous. If you're between sizes, size down.
Care: Wash cold and lay flat to dry. Indigo can transfer when new, so wash separately the first few times. Like your favorite jeans, the color softens beautifully with wear.
Where they come from: We start with undyed organic cotton socks from Q for Quinn, knit in Portugal. Then our founder, Marianna, hand-dyes each pair in DC with Botanical Colors' natural indigo, made from the leaves of the Indigofera tinctoria plant, in a simple fructose-and-lime vat.
Our cotton is 100% organic and produced in fair trade facilities. Our garments are ethically made by skilled craftspeople in India.
