Jackalo was founded in 2020 by mother, maker, and long-time environmentalist Marianna Sachse
Frustrated with the clothing options for her active older son, and a lack of hand-me-downs for his little brother, Marianna created Jackalo to bring back old-fashioned quality to kids clothing without compromising her values of environmental responsibility, sustainability, and reducing our global footprint.
For Jackalo, sustainability means designing kids clothes that are durable enough for playing, and adventuring, and to be handed down to the next sibling, cousin, or friend. Each item is designed for inclusivity: comfortable, gender-neutral, made for sensitive kids (flat seams and easy to pull on/off), and universal design.
Once our products reach end of life for your family, all of our clothes are designed to be bought back, repaired, resold, recycled, or composted. We are committed to clothing circularity: meaning that all of our products can be sent back for repair or resale.
