The Ins and Outs of How Our Circularity Program Works

Did you know that Jackalo's tradeUP program was the first of its kind in the United States? We are proud of our commitment to circularity in fashion, and especially childrenswear. But what does circularity even mean?

Here's what we mean by circularity:

When clothes are done being used by one person, they (sadly) often end up in the landfill. But often they have good life left in them! Especially with fast-growing kids. You may have your own "natural" circularity effort in place by handing your kid's clothes down to their sibling, your nieces and nephews, or your friend group. But what if you don't have a good place to hand them down? Or what if they are at the end of their usable life? This is where circularity comes in! Circularity is a system that allows the clothes to be kept in use longer, either by reselling them or by upcycling or recycling them.

Our tradeUP program is one of my favorite ways that we live our commitment to the environment. We all know that secondhand is the most environmentally friendly option. And secondhand + sustainably made is even better! Watch my IG live to learn more about how it works. Got questions? Comment below or shoot me an email!
