Let's be honest: parenting feels heavy right now.

Between horrors in the news, economic uncertainty, and the everyday chaos of raising kids—it can feel like we're all just white-knuckling our way through.

A lot of us are also stepping up—getting more involved in our communities, doing the hard work of activism, showing up for the things that matter. That work is essential.

But it's also exhausting.

Even in the hardest seasons, there are small things that make it bearable, even joyful. Finding these things is critical. It's the thing that can stop us from feeling hopeless and can keep us going.

The Question

We've been listening to Amy Poehler's Good Hang podcast. At the end of every episode, she asks: "What's bringing you joy right now?"

It's such a simple question, but I always enjoy hearing people's responses. Sometimes it's a show. Sometimes it's a ritual. Sometimes it's just proof that other people are finding pockets of light too.

So we're asking you the same thing.

What We're Building

We're creating community playlists—music, meditations, podcasts—curated by parents like you who are in the thick of it.

Maybe it's the song you rage-sing to when you need to let out tension. Or the meditation you squeeze in during a quiet moment. The podcast episode you've recommended to five different people.

We'll organize everything by mood and share the playlists back with the community. Think of it as a collective soundtrack for getting through—and sometimes even enjoying—these strange days.

What's Next

If this goes well, we might expand to other things: a community book list, favorite family recipes, shows that don't make you feel worse about the world. But for now, we're keeping it simple.

Fill out the form below to contribute. Takes about 30 seconds. By participating, you'll receive updates when we publish the playlists and add new music. (You can unsubscribe anytime.)

We'll compile everything and share the playlists in a few weeks.

P.S. If you have ideas for future community lists (books? recipes? kids' activities?), let us know. We're here for building something together.
