The Jackalo T-Shirt Design Contest ("Contest") is open to individuals of all ages who are legal residents of the United States.
For entrants under 18, a parent or legal guardian must submit the entry on the child’s behalf and agree to these Official Rules.
For entrants under 13, the entry must be submitted entirely by a parent or legal guardian using their own contact information. No personal identifying information about the child may be provided.
Employees of Jackalo, its affiliates, and immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, and their respective spouses) and/or those living in the same household are not eligible to participate.
This Contest is sponsored by Jackalo, Inc. located at 2934 Newark St NW Washington, DC 20008 (“Sponsor”).
The Contest begins on June 15, 2025 and ends on July 19, 2025 (“Contest Period”). All entries must be received by 11:59 PM ET on the submission deadline.
To enter, participants (or their parent/legal guardian, if under 18) must:
Submit an original t-shirt graphic design in [acceptable file formats: e.g., .PNG, .JPG, .AI, or .PSD] to [submission link or email address].
Complete the required fields on the submission form (name, email, etc.).
Agree to these Official Rules.
For entrants under 13, the parent or legal guardian must:
Submit the design on the child’s behalf using only their own (adult's) contact information.
Not provide any personal identifying information about the child (e.g., last name, email, mailing address, or photos of the child).
Limit one (1) entry per person. Late, incomplete, illegible, or inappropriate entries will not be accepted. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry for any reason.
All submissions must:
Be original works created solely by the entrant (child or adult).
Not infringe on any third party’s intellectual property or other rights.
Be suitable for children’s apparel (no obscene, hateful, or discriminatory content).
Not have been previously published or submitted in other contests or for commercial use.
At the end of the entry period, a panel of judges from Jackalo will select up to five (5) finalist designs based on creativity, alignment with brand aesthetics, and production viability. Finalist designs will be posted publicly for voting from July 26 to August 1. One (1) winning design will be selected based on the total number of public votes and final review by the Jackalo team.
The winner will receive:
A $500 Jackalo gift card (approximate retail value: $500 USD)
The opportunity to have their design produced and sold as part of a limited-edition Jackalo product line.
No substitution or transfer of prize is permitted except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Gift cards are subject to standard terms and conditions.
No additional royalties or financial compensation will be paid for future use of the winning design.
Entrants retain all rights to non-winning submissions. Jackalo may request permission to feature non-winning entries on its website or social media for promotional purposes, but this is optional and subject to the creator’s approval.
If your design is selected as the winning entry, you grant Jackalo, Inc:
Exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, and worldwide rights to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, distribute, and sell the design in any format or medium.
The right to use the design in connection with Jackalo products, advertising, promotions, digital and physical retail, and other commercial purposes.
You may still display the winning design in your portfolio or personal website with attribution such as:
“Design created for Jackalo – Winner of [Contest Name].”
You agree not to license, sell, or otherwise use the winning design elsewhere.
By entering the Contest, you grant Jackalo the right to use your (or your child's) first name, design, and likeness (e.g., drawings or photos of the artwork) for promotional and marketing purposes in all media worldwide without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.
For children under 13, no images or personally identifiable information about the child will be used publicly without additional written parental consent.

The parent or guardian consents to the child’s participation in the Contest and agrees to these Terms and Conditions on the child’s behalf.
The parent or guardian consents to Jackalo’s limited use of the child's design, and—if the design wins—use of the child’s first name and artwork for promotional purposes.
For children under 13, the parent or guardian must:
Complete the submission using their own name and contact information;
Not provide any personal information about the child;
Confirm that the design was created by the child under their care.
By participating, entrants (and their parents/guardians, if applicable) agree to release and hold harmless Jackalo, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of any prize, including but not limited to: (a) technical errors, (b) unauthorized human intervention, (c) printing errors, (d) lost, late, or undeliverable submissions, or (e) injury or damage to persons or property.
